What's old is news in Madison Saturday
More than 50 antiques dealers are coming to the town Green this weekend bearing rugs, lamps and tables among numerous other odds and ends for the annual fall antiques show.
The show will take place from 9 a.m.,Buying Aion Kinah from PCGamerUSA is easy and fast. to 4 p.,Wall mirrorboth outdoors and indoors, with home accessories of a high quality.m. Saturday and admission is $4. There will be early buying from 8 to 9 for $10 for those who want to get first pick at the items.
"Several hundred people come and visit the show," said Eileen Banisch, Chamber of Commerce president. "People come in from all over Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts."
The show is smaller than the one the chamber holds annually in May, but still draws quite a crowd.honeycomb panels and foam core panels characterize our many lightweight panels Eileen Johnson, member of the board of directors, said she loves connecting with the people who attend.
"It's people who seem to like the unusual (who go)," she said. "Some select things that you or I wouldn't want."
Johnson has seen people walk out with baskets, flower containers, urns and glassware,chicken coop pictures and designs for every backyard. among other items.
"The (items) seem to vary," said Johnson. "Everybody's tastes are so different. It's kind of fun to watch."
The show, which has been going on for more than 20 years, will offer home-cooked food all day. But buyers don't have to arrive early to find a bargain.
"The great thing about this show is that it's the last outdoor show in Madison this season, and because it's the end of the season, people often find a good deal on things."
The show benefits the chamber, but the money goes back into the town through things like scholarships and town beautification, said Banisch.
"The chamber works hard and the buyers all want to come back," said Johnson. "At the last show, they already requested space for this one, which means it's a good show."
