Broken tail-light leads to early morning drug arrest
Broken tail-lights led to the Tasering of a 32-year-old Columbia man and his arrest on multiple drug charges in the early morning hours Thursday.
According to the Columbia police, a patrol officer tried to stop Brandon Reshard Burden, of Bitternut Road, on Harden Street after noticing that the vehicle he was driving had no tail lights. Burden reportedly jumped from his moving vehicle and fled on foot.
He was taken into custody after the Taser was fired, and two other officers were called in for assistance.
